Juried Music Competition
The 2009 Juried Music Competition is open to musicians of all genres whose music and performance echo the values of IAM. The winner of this year's competition will perform during the evening plenary on Thursday, February 26.
Eligibility
Application is open to all artists. Winners are required to register for and attend Encounter 09. Previous winners are eligible to enter.Application
To apply, download the application and follow all instructions. Incomplete or incorrectly submitted applications will not be considered.
The application deadline is Monday, January 26, 2009. Submissions received after this date will not be considered.
Encounter 09 Juried Music Comeptition Application
Review
All submissions will be reviewed by an anonymous panel of industry professionals based on the quality of submitted work samples and supporting materials. Winners will be notified by Monday, February 9, 2009. Panelist comments may be made available to applicants after the conference.Requirements
- Application form must be filled out correctly and completely.
- Entries may relate to the theme, but selections will not be limited by adherence to the theme.
- Song files cannot be larger than 5MB in size.
- Music of all types and bands of all sizes may apply, but only solo performers or small ensembles that require no A/V equipment or set-up time may be asked to perform.
- All work must be submitted via email. IAM cannot accept applications or work samples submitted by mail.
